How did all of this start?

I’m Rue, a management consultant based in New York. Back in boarding school in the UK, I met my two best friends for life—Mel and Ikuko. But after graduation, we ended up at different universities, then different careers, and finally, in different countries. Work kept us busy, time zones kept us apart, and opportunities to reunite grew fewer… until last year.

Then came Love and Deepspace—the game that changed everything.

Unexpectedly, this game’s massive popularity pulled all three of us—scattered across the globe—into the same obsession. Suddenly, we were back to whispering late into the night, huddled together (virtually, this time, in a group chat), giggling and dissecting every game update, and trading little collectibles. I mostly collect Caleb and Sylus photocards and fan-made stickers, while Mel is obsessed with Zayne plushies, and Ikuko falls in love with every LI. 😉

Over the past year, our shared love for Love and Deepspace rekindled our bond. Outside the game, we exchanged merch—official, fan-made, self-made—and surprised each other with handmade gifts: handwritten letters, paper crafts, and plushies with costumes sewn from scratch.

In sharing these little joys, a tiny idea took root.

We dreamed of building a little corner of our own. A place to celebrate the LIs we love—Xavier, Zayne, Rafayel, Sylus, and Caleb.

More importantly, we wanted to share that passion with others – those who crave a deeper connection with the LIs and the Love and Deepspace world.

So we combined our names—Rue, Mel, Ikuko—into Rumi, and started building RumiStore, where we share our favorite Love and Deepspace collectibles.

After months of cross-time-zone planning, RumiStore is finally here.

Through personalized letters, handmade crafts, plushies, and more to come in the future, our mission is to share memorable moments that blur the line between game and reality—making every LI feel tangible to you.

Just like how the three of us surprise each other—on special days, or simply because—we want to spark that same warmth in you: the feeling of being thought of, and of receiving something unexpected. That’s why every Rumi package is carefully designed not just to bring the joy of an unwrapping experience, but also to be reusable—whether as bookmarks, paper crafts, or however you choose to give it new life.

We’ll also use this little corner of the universe to jot down thoughts about the game and share glimpses of our creations.
